Aristotle's Spacetime (Track 2)

Aristotle
(384-322 B.C.)
Aristotle's Spacetime is a direct product: M = T x S.

T (associated with "time") is a one-dimensional manifold with a Euclidean metric.

S (associated with "space") is a three-dimensional manifold with a Euclidean metric.

There is a natural projection from M into T. This is the notion of "absolute time".

There is a natural projection from M into S. This is the notion of "absolute space".
